OUR FOURTH NOMINEE 1982.
Is a long time resident of the area f i r s t l y l i v i n g i n
the Cosmo area and more r e c e n t l y i n the V i l l a g e . She
has been an a c t i v e member of the A l b e r t a Woman's
I n s t i t u t e for 30 years, a Charter Member of the Cosmo
W. I., served the Sangudo W. I. i n every capacity and
has held o f f i c e at both the D i s t r i c t and P r o v i n c i al
l e v e l . She i s an a c t i v e member of her Church, a
member of Session and Secretary of the United Church
Women. She i s Manager of the Sangudo Farmers' Market.
She i s a strong supporter of the A g r i c u l t u r a l Society,
and was responsible for organizing the Ethnic Supper
and following program during the O f f i c i a l Opening of
the Arena i n May 1981. Last year she organized
Heritage Days i n conjunction with the H i s t o r y Book
Society and the V i l l a g e Council. She spent 2 years
of devoted e f f o r t i n compiling and e d i t i n g our Local
History Book the Lantern Era, as w e l l as a homecoming
i n 1979 when the book was u n v e i l e d . She i s d i v i s i o n a l
representative for the Red Cross, a V i l l a g e C o u n c i l l or
and a judge for 4H P u b l i c Speaking competitions. She
was also one of a group who with the support of the
Yellowhead Library A s s o c i a t i o n brought about the
opening of the School Library for p u b l i c use. Ladies
