i t e d Ethel's i n t e r e s t in many other community e n t e r p r i s e s . As a
shareholder of the Red Deer E x h i b i t i o n A s s o c i a t i o n , she has served
f a i t h f u l l y on the Ladies' s e c t i o n and for two years was on the Board
of D i r e c t o r s . 1975 being " International Women's Year" Ethel was
given the honor of being Parade Marshal and asked to o f f i c i a l l y open
the 1975 F a i r . She i s a member of the l o c a l Lioness Club, has been
f o r 25 years; served on the Y . M . C . A , Board; worked with the Ladies
A u x i l i a r y to Twilight Lodge Associates; was member of l o c a l Handicraft
G u i l d and i n general p a r t i c i p a t e s i n other community endeavors when
necessary and being a very busy farmer's wife i t i s not always easy.
However Ethel manages to enjoy many pleasant hobbies, her needlework
i s b e a u t i f u l , o n e year winning f i r s t prize at the P r o v i n c i al
Convention with her o r i g i n a l l y designed hand embroidered c l o t h . She
loves reading and p l a y i n g bridge and for her outdoor hobbies she has
enjoyed c u r l i n g for many y e a r s . The Morrisroes as a family plan many
outings at Sylvan Lake where they they have a cottage- r e l a x a t i on
from a busy farm l i f e.
