She worked endlessly k n i t t i n g through the war years for the boys overseas. In recent years she has donated many a r t i c l e s of crochet for the sale s t a l l at Women's I n s t i t u t e Conventions. Other than her work with Women's I n s t i t u t e s she has served as Secretary for the Old Timer's A s s o c i a t i o n for six years. She has been a member of the l o c a l U. C. W. for many years and has helped on the Hall Board for more years than can be remembered. Mrs. E l l i o t t , now past 70 years of age, can be seen taking a roasted turkey, pies and other makings to a banquet the branch i s c a t e r i n g to? or c a l l i n g at doors for donations of money for," Flowers of Hope" for the mentally Handicapped Children. The members of the " Lone Pine W . I . " are convinced Mrs. E l l i o t t i s most worthy of a L i f e Membership i n r e c o g n i t i o n of her f a i t h f ul s e r v i c e through the years working for " Home and Country". This is t h e i r t r i b u t e to a dedicated I n s t i t u t e worker— an honor she t r u ly deserved.
