MRS. JAMES JEFF ARES
Mrs. J e f f ares was " born t o Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Bampfield on
March 19* 1910 and was c h r i s t e n e d S h e i l a Georgina.
She attended the l o c a l Hogadone School and then spent one
year a t St. H i l d a ' s School f o r g i r l s i n Calgary. When she r e turned
home she took a sewing course by correspondence which
has been a great help over the years as she has won many prizes
at the W. I. Conferences, f o r her sewing.
As soon as S h e i l a was of age she j o i n e d the M i l n e r t o n W. I.
i n 1927 and was a member u n t i l August 6, 1949 when she, with
the help of s e v e r a l other l a d i e s organized the present Hogadone
W. I. w i t h the o r g a n i z a t i o n meeting being held a t her home.
S h e i l a Georgina Bampfield was married to James J e f f a r e s on
May 25, 1934 and they have two sons: Bavid ( 29) who i s p r e s e n t ly
the P r i n c i p a l of one of the Red Deer Schools and B r i a n ( 18) who
has just completed h i s s e n i o r m a t r i c u l a t i o n and i s at home.
Mrs. J e f f a r e s has l i v e d i n t h i s community a l l her l i f e . Bes
i d e s being an extremely a c t i v e I n s t i t u t e member, she takes pride
i n her home, garden and community. She i s a member o f St. H i l d a ' s
Anglican Church, a member o f St. H i l d a ' s G u i l d and has been Sunday
School Superintendent f o r the past seven years.
