MRS. OLIVE VIPQND
Mrs. Olive Vipond was born i n I906 on her father's homestead
west of Didsbury, not far from the Harmatlow Canadian Superior Plant.
She took her early schooling at the" Zella" school which i s s t i l l i n
active use as a Community Centre for meetings, picnics and various
community functions. She trained to become a teacher and taught at
Inverness, James River, Wescott, Grand Centre and Clover Mount schools
She also taught three years i n Red Deer.
Olive joined the " Rugby Women's Institute" i n 1934 just after she
had married a l o c a l farmer, Allan Vipond. She has been an active W. I.
