P r a i r i e Order of the Royal Purple. She i s now President of the Big
Meadow Women 1 s I n s t i t u t e.
Mrs. Wordin joined the B i g Meadow W. I. i n 1935. She beeame the
President f o r the f i r s t time i n 1937. Since then she has been President
i n 1941, 1943, 1944, 1950. 1951, and i n 1968. She served as
Secretary i n 1939, and i n 1958. She was elected Treasurer i n 1960,
and served i n that capacity f o r three years. I n 1964 she beeame
Constituency Convener for tne Grouard Constituency. She has served
on many Committees.
Mrs. fi@ rdin often supervised the J u n i o r W. I. G i r l s 1 C l u b i n the
D i s t r i c t . The Home P a l G i r l s of E n i l d a and Big Meadow were ably
guided by her. Later the B i g Meadow Sweater G i r l s were supervised
by Mrs. Mordin. She resigned i n 1967 as leader, but a s s i s t e d the
Supervisor i n 1961.
The Big Meadow W. I. honored Mrs. Kordin, by awarding her a L i fe
Membership i n the Alberta Women's I n s t i t u t e s , i n r e c o g n i t i o n of
her 33 years of continuous, outstanding service i n the A. W. I, and
i n appreciation of her G i r l s ' Club work.
Mrs. Eordin has always opened her home t o Showers, Suppers f o r
Husbands, and q u i l t i n g bees. She has worked d i l i g e n t l y for her
Home and Country, and continues to do so. Growing b e a u t i f ul
flowers has been her hobby f o r many years.
