At the time Burnt Lake Women's I n s t i t u t e celebrated
i t s t h i r t i e t h Anniversary, the members presented Mrs. Swain-son
with a L i f e Membership. She was the only Charter Member
s t i l l active i n the branch. She had been a f a i t h f u l member
and a good neighbor and the members f e l t that she personified
our motto " For Home and Country". The actual oresentation
was made at the annual Constituency Conference at Sylvan Lake
i n June 1953.
