MRS. GEORGE S. WILSON
Mrs. George S. Wilson was born i n Calgary and a t an e a r ly
age moved to the Drumheller d i s t r i c t with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. B> rsey. A short time a f t e r the f a m i l y l e f t the farm and
moved to the west coast*
A f t e r completing her ^ I g h School i n V i c t o r i a , she took a
business course. Prior to her marriage to George 3. Wilson, she
worked a t S o c i a l Service Committee work at the Welfare O f f i c e.
In 1942 the Wilsons moved back t o the farm which s t i l l bears
the f a m i l y name and have l i v e d there ever since. The^ r have one
son, Lawrence, who i s married and a l s o l i v e s on the f a m i l y farm.
U^ on r e t u r n i n g t o Drumheller Mrs. Wilson beceime i n t e r e s t ed
i n Women's I n s t i t u t e work and f o r the past twenty- one years has
been a c t i v e l y engaged i n a l l phases of the W. I. She has served
i n many o f f i c e s during these years: as F r e s i d e n t , Secretary and
Treasurer of her branch as w e l l as Chairman o f Standing Committe
