MRS. B. G. BUM
Mrs. B. G. Dunn i s a Charter Member of Sundial Women's
Institute, having joined when the branch was organized i n June
1937. She seldom misses a meeting and has f a i t h f u l l y attended
most of the North Taber Constituency and D i s t r i c t Pour Conferences.
In recognition of her f a i t h f u l service to her branch
she was presented with a L i f e Membership i n the Alberta V/ omen's
Institutes i n March 1956.
Mrs. Dunn was born Cynthia Jane Custard i n Willow Lakes,
South Dakota on March 7, 1891. She was the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Le Grand Custard. At the age of four years her family
moved to Minnesota where she received her education and i n 1910
on July 13, married Benjamin George Dunn.
The Dunns f i l e d on a homestead i n the Sundial d i s t r i c t i n
September 1910, and she joined the ranks of Alberta's pioneer
women and became the mother of fourteen children, nine sons and
f i v e daughters. One son passed away at the age of three years.
She has t h i r t y - s i x grandchildren. The Dunns are now r e t i r e d and
l i v i n g i n the v i l l a g e of Turin.
