Mrs. M. G. - Roberts, provincial president of the
A l b e r t a Women's Institute, will be guest speaker at
the district A conference banquet being held at the
Capri Motor Hotel Friday evening.
Mrs. Roberts will speak on the forthcoming national
convention to be held i n Nova Scotia, and on
the Associated Country Women of the World conference
to be held i n Ireland in 1965.
^ Mrs. H. Simonson. addressing the 120 delegates
and visitors registered for the Friday morning session,
urged members to begin work on the national centennial
project, " Beautify Alberta".
During the afternoun session, John R. Smith,
director of planning and research for the provincial
government, spoke on the university training required
by social workers and the duties they assume upon
graduation.
