Wl Holds Handicraft Tea
The Red Deer Centre Constituency Women's Institute
held their handicraft display and tea recently.
Entries from women in t h e various clubs
throughout the constituency included articles of
sewing, knitting, crocheting and hobby work. Judges
for the event were four home economists: Miss Joyce
Brown, Miss Jeanette Auvigne, Mrs. Marilyn Sharp
and Mrs. Marilyn Hemsing. Shown here are, left
to right, Mrs. J . A. Jarvis, home economics convener
for Red Deer Wl; Mrs. L. A. Northey, constituency
convener and Mrs. Elsie Jessopp, 74, of Red
Deer. Mrs. Jessop made the large quilt shown— it is
of o pattern called " Yo- Yo" and its making entailed
over two months of work.
