Comment
Dear Sir;
It is with regret that we have been advised that, as of Dec. 31/ 96
Don Towers will no longer be reporting for the County News.
More specifically, the input by Mr. Towers to the " WI Calling
Card" column has been greatly appreciated over the past years. He
has gone more than " the extra mile" and his interest in and suppon
of the Women's Institute organi/ iition will be missed.
Thank vou Don

HUGE S U C C E SS for the Pine Lake WI
On Saturday, December 7th the Stewart Room at the
Museum was transformed into a special Christmas shop
for children aged 3- 10 years old to come and shop for their
parents. Volunteers were kept hopping as they helped
approximately 300 children select and wrap gifts priced
$ 1.00-$ 5.00. Over $ 1500.00 was raised for the Museum
Society for the care and preservation of the Museum's
artifacts.
In preparation for next year's event we would ask our
membership to please save their used wrapping paper and
ribbon this Christmas and put aside small gift items
throughout the year that may be suitable for gifts for
jMoms and Dads.
