Pine Lake W. I. by Doris Warke Eleven members and two visitors attended the Mar^ ii meeting at the ' Hub' Community Centre. A very successful whist card party was held at the Hub with the proceeds donated to the Heart Fund. President Marilyn Wattenbarger reported information given out at the Representative's meeting. A. C. W. W. will be celebrating its 65th birthday and we will recognize this date on April 29. We, all the members, w i l l participate in a fun challenge of collecting pennies for A. C. W. W coffers during the month of April. Pennies for Friendship provides the main support for A . C . W . W . ( Associated Country Women of the World). Membership in the A. W. I, automatically gives membership in the Federated Women's Institute of Canada and the Associated Country Women of the World. The A . C . W . W . has a Triennial Conference - this year it is being held in Pretoria, South Africa. One of our members, Marion Brown and her husband Roy, is attending this conference. A B l i n d Auction was held with members donations being auctioned by Marilyn Wattenbarger. The proceeds will be our dona-lion for the Adelaide Hood-less Homestead fund. A written report was presented by Kathleen Lawrence on the District 3 Conference at Bashaw on behalf of three Pine Lake W. I. members who attended.
