Twelve members and two visitors attended the April meeting at the ' Hub* Community Centre. A calendar and photo album arrived from our sister women's group in Australia. Pictures with cap : tions were enjoyed by a l l. The calendar was drawn for and won by Marion Brown. Our 1999 stocking fund was turned in and proceeds thus far will go to the ACWW Novice Weaning Industry project i n Ghana, West Africa. Spring and summer projects are soon to unfold. The annual coffee party will be held at the Hub Centre on Wednesday, June 2, from 9 to 11 a. m. The Farmers Market runs on Fridays from June 1 to Sept. 13, at the Bi- Lo Station from 3 until 5: 30 p. m. Environment convener Isabelle Beck, had an interesting report on Global Warming and Plant Life as well as Hold on to Hazardous Wastes. A household hazardous waste round- up w i l l be held at the Ridgeview Waste Recovery Facility; May 1, 1999, is the tentative date. A.
