Constituency Handicraft Tea and Display - 30 articles entered
with 20 1st placings. Gayle Olson and Doris Warke recognition for outstanding
a r t i c l e s . Five cushions i n competition were later donated to R. D. Regional Hospital
Unit r . 37 , valued at $ 15.00 each.
Constituency Conference - Kathleen Lawrence gave the Morning
Thoughts. Annie Allen was recognized i n the Memorial Service.
Meals on Wheels - 30 doz. cookies

D i s t r i c t III Conference - Doris Warke as delegate reported
Alberta Women's Institutes received, on February 12, 199 3 f a Service Award in
Support of Alberta Families with congratulations from the Premier's Council.
A. W. I, and Women of Unifarm joint Convention - Tribute paid
to Shirleyan Hammer, 1st Vice President AWI, who passed away May 1, 1993 with
a Life Membership, presentation made to her daughter, Cindy Gibson.
ASSOCIATED COUNTRY WOMEN OF THE WORLD:
Haden Q. C. W. A. - Marion Brown brought personal greetings from
our sister Australian Branch and showed slides of Roy and Marion's v i s i t to the
Newton Farm i n December 1992.
Christmas gifts of hand made potholders and Christmas tree
decorations were sent to the Haden Branch for Christmas 1993.
" Women Feed the World" Project - $ 25.00 i n recognition of
World Food Day.
Fennies for Friendship - $ 19.05
