One minute's silence for departed members was observed, with special
mention of the late Mrs. Beaubier, and the late Mrs. Howey.
Word was received that Mrs. E . R. Morley was in the Keith Sanatarium
and the Convention requested the Secretary to send greetings and wishes for
a speedy recovery to her.
The President, Mrs. Wm. Stewart then presented her report, mentioning
the Radium Fund, the Scholarships and the policy of the Alberta Women's
Institutes. This excellent report is given in full on page 18.
Mrs. M. L . Thompson, Vice- President, reported her activities in connection
with editing the Provincial " Home and Country" and in the radio broadcasts
over CJOC, Lethbridge. Her report will be found on page 22.
In the Secretary's report, Mrs. Iy. E . Wood reported 35 Constituencies
with 218 active Institutes and a membership of 3,659. This report is found
on page 23.

Motion carried.
