T h e l i n k i n g of these several o r g a n i z a t i o n s w i t h definite projects i n the G a r d e n is a v e r y h e l p f u l means of k e e p i n g t h e P e a c e G a r d e n a n d i t s i d e a l s f or w h i c h i t w a s o r g a n i z e d b e f o r e some t h o u s a n d s of p e o p l e. B r i e f l y p i e s e n t e d are the results of four summers' c o n s t r u c t i o n p r o g r a m. I t r e q u n e d m a n y h u n d r e d s of tons of s t o n e t h a t h a d to b e d u g o u t of t h e f o o t h i l ls of the T u r t l e M o u n t a i n s west of D u n s e i t h , N o r t h D a k o t a , a n d m o v e d b y t r u ck n e a r l y 15 m i l e s . T h e s e stones w e r e s h a p e d b y N o r w e g i a n m a s o n s r e s i d e n t i n t he d i s t r i c t T h e g r a v e l w a s h a u l e d f r om t h e same v i c i n i t y . A n I n t e r n a t i o n al R e l a t i o n s C o n f e r e n c e of s t u d e n t s f r om the M m o t State C o l l e g e of N o r t h D a k o ta a n d the students of B r a n d o n C o l l e g e , B r a n d o n , M a n i t o b a , a d d e d f u r t h e r s i g n i f i c a n c e to the G a r d e n , w h i l e the A n n u a l M e e t i n g of t h e G a r d e n i t s e l f i n e a r ly S e p t e m b e i forms the focal p o m t of the year's w o r k .
