Corner beautified and grass cutting funded. Flower bed seeded to gTass for easier maintenance in 2007. Children's Garden Club— Sponsored and judged twelve completed gardens Gardens followed 50* Anniversary theme. Donation to HUB Race Nite Love Boxes for FWIC " Goodie" Bags 12 Christmas Mugs and blankets donated to the Red Deer homeless. 1 lpr. Mitts, 1 toque, 1 baby sweater, set of hat and bootees, and a baby blanket donated to the Red Deer Women's Shelter Sponsored Needlecraft Class for Ag Fair, children's class & PLWI 50t h Ann. Display Served lunch for two funerals in the community CONSTITUENCY Services and Activities: PLWI 50t h Anniversary celebrations Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the HUB Centre All past members, constituency members, AWI executive, husbands, and family members celebrated the branch's 50 years of service to the community. The 50t h Anniversary Certificate will hang in the HUB meeting room. See separate album of anniversary activities. Participated in annual Handicraft Tea and display Attended and presented Mini ACWW Regina report at Constituency Conference Oct. 28/ 06 Marion Brown was a participant from the Pine Lake branch. Supported Balmoral, Hillsdown and Lacombe branches at uieir 80t h and 60t h anniversaries Attended Hillsdown annual tea and Balmoral's Christmas party. AWI Activities & Services: District III Workshop - Alix, March 30/ 06 with four members in attendance Kneehill Valley constituency Conference - April 2/ 066 - Two members attended AWI Provincial Convention - Red Deer June 14/ 06 attended by three members. Central Alberta branches were instrumental in hosting the FWIC Convention in Red Deer Members served on the planning committee, headed tours, and help host the 400 members from across Cana Marion Brown participated in the Run for the Cure under the AWI Banner. Office Fund Donation $ 41.50. FWIC Activities & Services: Donation Adelaide Hoodless Homestead Fund—$ 18.40 Connected with Twillingate W. I.
