Playground grand opening
The Pine Glen Recreation
Board was proud to introduce
the new playground at
the Pine Lake Hub Community
Centre with a grand
opening celebration on Saturday,
August 26S 2001.
After several years of planning,
this year was finally
the year! Several people
attended the grand opening
that included hot dogs, balloons,
a visit from Community
Savings' Fat Cat, playing
on the park, and the
draw for the fundraising raffle.
The Rec Board and the
children thank all who supported
the fundraising
efforts for this playground.
Several individuals and
groups donated time and
money toward the purchase
iind installation of the playground.
It all started with
F. d Beckingsale's first donation.
The Pine Glen Rec
Board would also like to
thank the following for their
donations: the Pine Lake
Hub; the Pine Lake 40 +
Club; Crossroads Gas; Pine
Several children attended the grand opening
Kathleen Lawrence with garden
winner, Morgan MacFadyen
Many community members donated their time to
help install the playground.
