(6) Close both eyes, extend both arms at sides, swing them slowly forward so extended fingers meet. Do it five times, giving two points every time they meet. (7) Pick up a marble with a teaspoon, before it rolls a foot. (8) Pick up a marble on a knife blade. (9) Place one card from a deck of cards six feet from goal line. Toss rest of cards at it without moving over line. The idea is to throw. all cards so each card touches at least one other card. Score ten. if no more than one card breaks the rule, five if more than three are off. Baby Pictures-Each person brings a baby picture of herself. Number them and tack around the room. Get partners by drawing numbers then start off in couples to try to puzzle out who each is. Potato Artists--Give each person a large, well scrubbed potato, a knife, a dozen pins, a dozen matches, a length of colored wool and a square of colored cardboard. Each one makes some interesting object out of the materials provided. Have a time limit and prizes for most original. Soap could be used instead of a potato and out of it carve a character to fit in with some travel program. Orange Pass-Two teams, of any number of persons. One tucks an orange under his chin and passes it down the line without using hands. .Observaton-Load a tray with about 20 small articles. Bring into room covered with a cloth. Let the members look at it one minute and then write what they saw.
Dumb SpellingMatch-Have a list . of simple words of five or six
letters. The Speller illustrates the vowels instead of saying them. For "au raise right hand, for "e" raise left hand, for "i" point to eye, for "0" point to rounded mouth and for "u" point to leader. If vowel is said or word misspelled you are out. She is given a spoon to transfer cotton from one bowl to the other. Waist Line-Each lady. is given a length of string and asked to make a circle as big around as she believes her waist is. Prize to closest guesser. Initial. Stunting-Do a stunt the name of which begins with your initials. Example: Georgia Benton might Grin Broadly. Takes quick thinking but it is fun. . April Fool-Playa joke on guests by giving each a packaged lunch, containing only pictures of delicious food and paper cup. Also as guests arrive, pretend the camera with which you snap their pictures is a quick developing one but it .is really an unloaded regular kind. Tell them they'll receive their pictures at the end of the meeting. What they will receive is funny pictures cut from magazines in sealed envelopes bearing their names. But have REAL refreshments. 64
