, A glance at the events, included in
the .Yritys meet indicates that- the

what we might call obsolete Pedera-tionrecords

competition for many years. The

such events. The record fcr the
under 21 class 4x200 m. relay stands
at 1 minute 57 seconds and is held
by a; Jehu team and apparently wasI
set SO long ago that when the Fede­ration
last -publi£/hed a list of records
none of the old timer;5*could remember
the -year, as it Is not listed. In the
old record the average time for each
runner works out to a rough 29 se-^
conds and v l t h : many runners at the

under 27 seconds. Yritys should be
able: to bring this record, down to

The 1000 m.: record held by P, Jans­son,
Kisa (Alerts) stands at 2.49 and
was set i n .1926; nvhlch is one of the
oldest records as the Federation vas
founded in il925.. This record is per-haps
the most realistic of the ones
being challenged at the Yritys meet;
