sanoi. Meillä ajateltiin että pide-t&

eina sunnuntaina. Se olisi hyvä niin
kuin Helen-täti sanoi, että kailcki kh--

Minä olen nyt vähän pelännyt
mennä kouluun aamulla kun täällä
meidän lähellä on iso karhu. En
ole vielä sitä nähnyt mutta minulle
»anottiin, että se oh vähän aikaa

monta ihmistä; Täällä oli
myös pari viikkoa sitten suuri muu­si.
En ole sitä nähnyt liioin mutta

oli oikein kaunis.
Kyllä tiiällä meni lumi nopeaan.
Ei kestänyt -viikkoa kun se lähti.
Meidän pellolla oli paljon vettä
slmä pari viikkoa .siten kun Wahna-pitaen
joki oli riiin korkealla. Minä
Jouduin menemään veneellä yli pel­lon
yhtenä aamuna kouluun.
Aloin mennä Visan kokoukseen
mutta en voinut lähteä kun tuli vle^
rnita. Tana vuonna meidän pitäisi
mennä Torontoon. Kyllä minä aina­kin
haluan mennä. Tietenkin minä
phä.sen. Kyllä sitten saa nähdä pal­jon
uutta mitä en ole ennen nähnyt.

I've: seen only two shows and one
plays thls monbh; I saw 'Mr. Music"
and "Louisa". I enjoyed them both
a great dcal and I also saw a play
called 'Here Comes Charlie". It
certainly was a goodcomedy.
Aunt Helen,' maybe'you'd better
suggest a debate for us. and maybe
we'd get started on it somc day.
'I started reading "King Solomon's
Mlncs" w'riiten in Flninsh and Tm
maklng very slow progress. Oh well,
I can't read Finnish .well yet anyhow
SO I mlÄht as well learn now.
I ordcrcd a new pair of shoes for
the summer. They're. "baby dolls".
I sure hope they don't substitute.
We have a .social Studies exam and
I only got 73 percent.: Tomorrow
we are going to (have a junior business
exam.
My little cousin's birthday is on
the 29th of thls month. • I dont know
what I can get for her birthday. She
wlll be live years Old.

I was bolUng sap over at my frlend's
placc. wanted me to go and
help hhn boil sap. He hhd a gallon
boller. They had 78 trccs * tappcd.
•We got the boller llllcd, Then wc
put a flrc urider it. The liro was
hot very soon. We «had to get wbod
and sap. y^hen it bollod down we,
filled it up agahi. We had to go to
a big hill to get sap. The pails hold
two and a half gallons. "»e had to
carry fotu- pails oranorc. Then wc
nad to get some wo6d for the flre.
The sap was boiling hard.
Then we had to go and cat our
dinner. Harold went to the sap
bush to .see the flre if it was going,
HLs father came to see if it was
rcady. It had started to burn on
the bottom of the boller. We took
it oM but it was not thick. We had
to finlsh it in the hoxise. I got two
quarts of it. He got two quarts too.
He had to go to the store. I took
iihe syrup home. I told him that I
am going to the store too. So we
went to the stord. We got a rlde
täck Oiome. I had to go to tois place
to take sap to the boller. On Sunday
mornlng I vent there to boil sap.
We boiled it and took of f the taps.
Then *e went and göt the taps and
other thlngs. We tumed them over

warmer for scvcral days but now ifs

aren't too good either. but we've
started to get around a bit.

catch. They seem to be running quite
