amazed to hear from Clarence that
the first Skl races were h e l d i n cither
1910 or 1911 i n Camrose. Clarence of
course wäs not entered I n tliatMrace.

have liveä under the impression that
cross-country s k i i n g has been pionee-r
e d i n t h i s a r e a : : rm a f r a i d we'll have
have t o ' l i f t o u r iiat to Camrose in
t h i s respect, because the earliest meet
that fcan be recalled i n this district
was i n 1921 although we suspect that
sk:s were a popular f r om of trans-portation
i n the Xarming area even
earlier a n d that probably some local
meets were held, of w h i c h there is no
record.

r e a l l y keep themselves i n top shape.
Clarence has been training i n the
Rockies from the beginning of De-cember.
